Skip hire permits

If you’re placing a skip on a public road or pavement, you’ll need a skip permit from your local council. This helps manage space, prevent traffic disruption, and keep things safe for everyone.

You could be fined if your skip is found without a permit and may be removed without warning. No permit is needed if your skip is going on private land, like your driveway or a private road.
