Skip Hire Terms & Conditions

It is the customers responsibility to ensure there is suitable room and sufficient access to the property so the skip can be delivered/contacted. Lost journeys will be charged for.

Contents of skips will be the property of Wheeldon Brothers, unless previously stated, in writing, otherwise.

No toxic waste or drums containing liquid to be placed in the skip, no asbestos, toxic flammable solvents, oil, paints, pressure vessels etc. or any notifiable waste without previous written permission from Wheeldon Brothers Waste LTD. We are licensed for these items but they must be booked and loaded separately.

Skips are left at hirers risk. Damage to driveways, footpaths, watermains, telephone and electrical cables and all underground services will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Permits are required by law when the skip is left on a public highway. Hirer will be responsible for the acquisition of a permit from the local authority.

Provision of night lamps and warning cones will be the responsibility of the hirer.

Damage to skips, either by fire or overloading, or skips or items stolen will be charged for on invoice.

Skips should not be filled higher than the sides. Clay, soil and metal can make skips too heavy for legal limits on roads.

Rental can be charged after 2 weeks of hiring the skips
